We are launching our latest project: ‘Access to mental health and well-being services in Sandwell during COVID 19 pandemic’

Healthwatch Sandwell is the independent voice of the public in health and social care services. We collect feedback from the people about their experiences of using health and social care services and use that feedback to work with service providers and commissioners to find ways to improve services.

One of the ways that we collect feedback is by carrying out focused projects as part of our annual workplan.

We are launching our latest project:

‘Access to mental health and well-being services in Sandwell during COVID 19 pandemic’

We want to find out:

  • how people’s mental health has been affected during COVID 19
  • what coping mechanisms they have utilised
  • people’s experiences of accessing mental health and well-being services in Sandwell

The project will be aimed at the population who already had mental health issues prior to COVID 19 as well as those who’s mental health has been affected by the pandemic.

We will be speaking to people on the telephone, holding virtual meetings and have an online survey [https://engagingcommunities.researchfeedback.net/s.asp?k=160318238490] which can also be posted to people.
