Black Country and West Birmingham CCG – Cancer Lived Experiences Survey – Help Us to Help People present early with Cancer Symptoms
The Black Country and West Birmingham CCG Cancer lead has been allocated a small budget to produce cancer videos in local languages to encourage people with unusual lumps, bumps or feelings in their bodies to go and see their GP early. Early diagnosis of Cancer is essential so that patients can be treated before the cancer symptoms get worse.
The Commissioner of cancer services would like to produce a video in various languages to encourage local people to attend their GP practice with any signs or symptoms (which are not normal for the patient) for example a strange lump or sensation in their body, to seek medical help.
We need your help to make these videos meaningful and to encourage people to speak to a GP or nurse about their symptoms.
Please could you help us, by answering a few survey questions with your views on what should go into these videos? We are especially seeking the views of local people who speak the following languages or a different dialect of these languages:
