The work that Healthwatch Sandwell has undertaken over the last year was driven by the determination to make a difference and this report highlights where we have achieved this. For example:

When deaf patients persevere with the consultation without a BSL interpreter it invariably results in misinformation and then misdiagnosis.

In total HWS engaged with 68 people, the findings from both surveys have been amalgamated for this report

Horseley Heath Medical Centre is situated in Tipton area of Sandwell. They also have another surgery, Tandon Medical Centre in Upper Gornal. They see 11,400 patients across the two practices.

The Black Country Family Practice is situated in Tipton area of Sandwell. It provides care for 14,000 patients.

Charnat Care is a day service for people with learning disabilities and or autism. The service is accessed by people from Sandwell and Dudley. The service is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am until 5.00pm

Regis Medical Centre is within the Health Partnership is a GP led partnership that comprises
Oakham Surgery, Carters Green Medical Centre and Whiteheath Medical Centre.
