Listening Exercise: Improving services for people with Osteoporosis (weakened bones) in Sandwell and West Birmingham

Dear Stakeholder,

We would like to make you aware of a listening exercise we have launched in relation to the Osteoporosis Service we commission for the local population.

Osteoporosis is a health condition that weakens bones, making them fragile and more likely to break. It develops slowly over several years and is often only diagnosed when a fall or sudden impact causes a bone to break (fracture).

This listening exercise is part of a wider review of musculoskeletal services in Sandwell and West Birmingham and gives us the opportunity to listen and engage with people who are living with osteoporosis, to identify things that could be improved and help shape the way the service is delivered in the future.

We would welcome the opportunity to hear from people affected by osteoporosis and their relatives/ carers/ representatives and would be grateful if you would be willing to share this with those who you think may find this of interest and encouraging them to review the attached information and complete the enclosed questionnaire.

I do hope this is of interest and of course you are welcome to take part too.

Questionnaires can be completed online at:

Alternatively, paper copies of the questionnaire can printed or made available upon request, and returned to us using the freepost address detailed on page 4.

The closing date for this survey is 16th January 2020.
