MANAGER – HEALTHWATCH SANDWELL
SALARY UP TO £28,000 PER ANNUM DEPENDENT ON QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Healthwatch Sandwell is the independent champion for local people’s voices in health and social care in Sandwell. From 1 April 2019, this service will be delivered by Engaging Communities Staffordshire (ECS), a Community Interest Company that also delivers nine other local Healthwatch contracts. ECS is now looking for an energetic, committed operational manager, passionate about making a difference to the lives of people in Sandwell by ensuring that health and social care services are geared to their needs.
Your organisational skills will be required to lead a small team of 3 people in gathering the views and feedback from the diverse local community to influence improvements in services. You will also be able to deploy your strong relationship management skills to develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders at Sandwell Borough Council, NHS organisations, the local voluntary and community sector, and with volunteers, service users and patients. Gaining their trust and insight will be key to supporting you in working with the Chair and Advisory Board for Healthwatch Sandwell in developing and implementing an agreed strategic plan and work priorities for Healthwatch Sandwell.
Healthwatch Sandwell is all about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of local services, whether it is improving them today or helping to shape them for tomorrow.
Essential qualities include management experience, effective cross-sector partnership working and the ability to involve local people. Knowledge of the health and social care landscape and/or knowledge of Sandwell would be very desirable.
